I built my computer about 3 days ago and installed all the software for it including drivers. After installing all my games i started up Counter Strike Source and it was working fine the first day. Last night when i started CSS up i the screen went black. All my LED lights were on but i could not use Ctrl Alt Del to get to the task manager. I then started hitting caps lock to see if the caps lock light were turn on in my keyboard. It did not. So i had power to my keyboard but none of my keys were registering. I restarted my computer and started CSS again and it worked fine. About and hour later i got of CSS and started it back up again and got the same problem. After this i went and made sure that all my drivers were updated. They were all up to date. I started looking around on forums and noticed that someone said it might be your hard drive. So i ran a check on my hard drive and nothing was wrong with it. I tried turning on and off my monitor when this problem occurs and nothing happens. I then figured it must be the game. So right before i was about to reinstall the game i started up Call of Duty 4. I played CoD4 multiple times on this computer before and it ran fine. But when i tried running this time i got a white screen. I tried everything but ended up having to restart my computer. After the restart i went to the forums again and when i opened up my internet browser i got another white screen. My computer also passes the recommended for all these games. Can someone please help me fix this problem. Thanks

I do have a question that will make solving this problem easier: Have you tried reinstalling a few of your drivers? As in: Completelly remove, restart windows, reinstall?

Yes, i have tried reinstalling my drivers by deleting them completley then restarting and reinstalling and the problem still persist. Would this be a problem with my graphics card by any chance?

Your GPU could be overheating. You said that your screen turns black or white after you play right? What kind of GPU do you have? Also, run a video card stress test, like 3Dmark and look at your temps. I would recommend checking out your heat sink for proper contact if temps get really high (depending on your card.) Again, knowing what type of card you have could help.
