Hi. I'm having a problem with Crysis warhead and was hoping you could help me.

The game installed properly but whenever i go to play it the opening movie is pixelated terribly. Any idea whats wrong?

Just one other problem for now. As said before the movie is terrible but it still loads to the menu and that looks fine. The problem is when it goes into the actual game tutorial it always crashes where it tells me to press mouse 3 to change suits for the first time.

Both of these problems are incredibly frustrating so any help would be great.

My welcome to PCHF as well. I have a few more questions before we start trying to troubleshoot this.

Are you having the trouble with any other games?

Are all of your updates current?

Have you checked to see if there are patches for Crysis?

Im not having any problems with any other games. Infact i bought Battlefield 2142 at the same time i bought Crysis Warhead. Same company, Same day of purchase and it runs fine.

As for updates did you mean system updates or game updates?

And there are no patches as of yet for Crysis

I meant system updates, but since the other game is playing OK, it probably isn't relevant.

Can you take the game back and have it replaced?

If not, have you tried, completely uninstalling it, and reinstalling it in Safe Mode, then rebooting the PC, and trying again?

Hey sorry about the wait. Been having problems.

I cant take it back because once i installed it, it activated online and registered with EA.

When i uninstalled it was fine. I rebooted into Safe mode as you suggested but i couldn't even begin installing it. It said something like Windows installer service could not be accessed .

I thought this was because of updates. So i downloaded the newest Installer for Windows Vista but still no luck at all.

I hope you can help me.
