Solved: How do I run Jagged Alliance Windows Vista

So I'm moving house and I've found Jagged Alliance, A game I spend hours on and thought I'd sold or something.
Anyway, I've got Windows Vista so I wasn't sure if I could install/run it.
Well I can, and have installed, but the launch game Icon's greyed out but I can see the DEADLY folder and files on my K drive, which is where I installed it.

How to I run the game now (old DOS game, ran 3 odd years ago under XP).
I love this game so please help.

Can't see any thing like play.exe.

Here's a pic of the contence of the DEADLY folder.

Have you tried Vista compatability mode?

Marked as "Open" as I am not good at games.

I've never played that game before, but I do enjoy a few games from the 486 era so I'd advice you to try running it under dos:

- Open up a command prompt
- Navigate to the folder
- type the name of the executable file

This should get your game running

A bit which file is the EXE one lol.

Set your windows to show the extension for know file types and you should be able to see it, at a guess I would say its either "dg" or "deadly".
I'd bet my money on "dg" if I had to but I think your best option is to show the extension of the files and then see

Right ok, it seems to be DG. But I get these errors
DG.EXE This system doesn't support fullscreen mode, chose close to terminate the application. (if I ignore it I get).
DG.EXE The NTVDM CPU have encountered an illegal instruction CS:c000 IP:fd99 OP: ff ff ff ff chose Close to terminate this application.
Pressing ignore gives me that error.

I see the problem but quite frankly I never came across it before with an old game...

Try to lower your resolution to the minimum (16 bit colours, 800x600) then try to run it via DOS as before, does it give you the same error?
