Hello guys, ace forum!

I recently got a new hard drive for my computer, and I backed up my games I had, Mirror's Edge...the music doesn't play in the game, only speech works, and even then you have to turn the volume up full - and the sound effects of the background is dominant...

I thought it might be the game.

However I installed Silent Hill Homecoming, I've completed it on my previous hard drive, and there were no problems. Now the audio as in music (speech is fine) isn't playing, I figured this out because at the splash screen/menue there is no sound - and my character; seems a bit...accelerated.

I've installed and reinstalled Homecoming many times today, I've tried installing my video and audio drivers from the orignal disc.

Now I'm stuck, I've played about with the driver settings too for the audio.

Any help?

I'm sure our talented Techs and helpful members will have an answer for you!

Once the drivers from the original discs were installed, was there a noticeable change? After they are installed, please check with, for one, your sound system manufacturer for newer drivers, but also check with the game site to see if they require something in particular.

As little as I game, I have found this to be true in many cases.

If so can you please post back with the following information.

What make and model was the old hard drive?
What make and model is the new hard drive?
What make and model is your motherboard?

Did you completely reinstall Windows onto the new hard drive?

How exactly did you backup your old games?
