Default Audio slows down in DoW2

Hai guys

I has a new problem...

Whenever a lot of stuff is happening in DoW2 and I mean like loads of emenies and guns going off the audio really slows down. It was fine until I installed the leaked 185.20 drivers from nvidia so I rolled back to 182.08 and it's still slowing down. Any ideas?

Hiya,

Try reducing or turning off audio acceleration:

  1. Click Start, select Settings and click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click the Multimedia or Sounds and Multimedia icon.
  3. In the Multimedia Properties window select the Audio tab.
  4. Under the Playback heading, click Advanced Properties.
  5. Click the Performance tab and record the location of the Hardware Acceleration slide bar.
  6. Click the Hardware Acceleration slide bar and keep the mouse button pressed.
  7. By moving the mouse, slide the indicator needle to None.
  8. Release the mouse button.
  9. Click Apply and click OK.
  10. Close any open windows and launch the program that the sound issue occurred in.

You changed the graphics drivers and that's a good start..did you also update or change the audio drivers?

That's a point. I have updated my audio driver quite recently. When I get back from college I'll roll back and see if that helps.
