I just bought Medieval 2 Total War and am having a problem. The game only works once after I restart my pc. Then after that I try playing it and the video is very choppy but the sound is not. I have to restart my pc again it will will play fine the first time. Why is it doing this? How can I fix it?

Hello and welcome.
Please could you post:How to post your computer specifications. Lets get some information so we can help you. Let us rule out or rule in a heating issue. Firstly power off your computer and remove from the power outlet. Carefully give the internal case a good clean, especialy the fans. This may take a little time if it is very dusty in there. Then download and run SpeedFan,could you then post me a screenshot or list the tempratures for me please. List temps during normal processes and if you can during game play. Jelly Bean.

Hello there Ryancool,
just a quick addittion to what JB suggested (I suggest you follow her advice first, cleaning and checking temps is always good) Does this happen with any other game? Are you running the latest patch for the game? check here Totalwar.com | The Award Winning Series from The Creative Assembly
