i went to install the software from Microsoft to use a guitar hero controller on my pc. and it gave me errors and said i couldn't install it. i mean like i bought a pc version of the game so why wouldn't it work

its never gave error codes, it just said that windows cannot complete the instalation

This is the USB controller right? Try installing the drivers completely before you plug in the controller
