ok buddy , after a few tries I got to install the game and I checked on my purchase box which says Halo pc 1.0
I've installed the game and ran the update which I saw 1.08 patch being installed...
What should I do from here?

If the update process goes without issue try to see if you can now see multiplayer servers
(by the way, while you are at it, make sure there are no "search filters" active when you try to get the server list as this would abviously limit the number of servers you receive)

still no servers in lobby and yes filters are on any and all...

Firewall is another thing that comes to mind...
Are you using one?
Which one?
Is it set correctly?

Hello all, I am happy to say that I finally fixed my problem after about three weeks of not being able to get my daily dose of about 30 minutes of pure pleasure stacking up kills on my Halo....lol
After spending glorious evenings downloading patches and checking game versions, firewalls, admin rights, connections, networks, gamespys, xfires, forums, and the whole shabang I noticed that the Halo.exe file is never really disconected in your Windows / process section . From that list I clicked on Halo and then "stop process". I started the game over
and figure that the Halo.exe file was also capable of being updated....
therefore being able to get my daily dose of this great game.
Thanks for the time and info guys, pchelpforum is in my favorites list and I will be back in time of crisis....lol
I think I've just been self served....lol
