when i went to paste the files to my desktop the same file (cv06) wouldn't copy

Then I think we have a winner... a bad disc.... (not sure, but it surely sounds like)

Here is what you may want to try:

-Get one of those vacuum bags for freezing food and seal your DVD into it
-Put the package into the freezer for one night (use a standard freezer, not those huge cells who reach -50!!!!!)
-When you take it out (from both the freezer and the bag) you want to have a microfiber cloth ready. Rest it on the cloth for a few minutes (moist might appear, hence the reason for leaving it to rest)
-Make sure the DVD is totally dry
-Try the DVD again

I won't enter into the how it works, I'm no chemist and I wouldn't have all the answers, all I know is that DVD's materials perform at their best when cooled.
Weather you want to try it or not its your choice, all I can say is that I'm glad I did try.

NOTE: The disc won't simply start working again, but cooling it for a while might make it work for a short spawn of time, making you able to retrive the unreadable files from it.

NOTE 2: THE DISC MUST BE TOTALLY DRY OR YOU MIGHT DAMAGE YOUR DISK DRIVE!!!!!

NOTE 3: BEFORE DOING THIS TRY THE DVD INTO ANOTHER MACHINE AND SEE IF YOU CAN COPY THE FILES!!!

Hi I didnt think this would be worth posting as a new thread as I have this problem but in reverse as it were

Recently I have installed championship patch for pes 2009 but since this I have I have needed to re-format the C: hard drive and obviousley re-installe d my operating system. I had originally installed the program on the D: drive and then modified it with this patch and a Kitserver. But after I had reinstalled windows onto the C: drive I tried to run PES it would not run as the updated modified game correctly and this was after I had tried to install the update patch again.
After this I tried uninstalling the main pes2009 program where I got the message "this action is only valid for products that are currently installed"

I have tried running various registry cleaning programs to no avail . Im certainly no expert but the only solution I can come up with for both our problems would be wipe to the hard drive, and therefore clean the registry of any traces of the program which have probably been corrupted.
I believe that would be the only way of completely cleaning any trace of the programs and therefore avoiding this error

I find it hard to beleive that putting the disk in cool places is a serious suggestion it seems to me the problem arises in the registry and not the media. Have tried two programs to rectify this problem so far without any success
Unless someone knows of some software or process etc the I beleive the only sure way would be to clean the drive where the installation is.
