I'm running an Asus EAH 4850. I've tried updating the drivers and I'm not running that asus utility that gave so many other people trouble. Any ideas?

I've just got myself a new 'puter and Fallout 3. The game runs and plays beautifully, but I can't seem to iron out this one bug. I get strange color splotches and squares all over the screen. Here are some screenshots, I should add that it's much worse than it seems from the shots.

Hello and welcome to PCHelpForum.
The card is a Asus EAH 4850 ??????? Please could you go to "User CP" and fill out your computer hardware specifications please and check box show others as this could aid in helping you. Download and run this:SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer please post temp results while playing the game. I have marked your thread as "Open" in readyness for the Tech Team and wonderfull members to help you. JB.

In the OPTIONS setting of the game (when you click the launcher, not while in game)
Try turning everything off/at its lowest setting (apart from resolution). See if that helps. The results of that will tell you if its a problem with the game settings or your graphics card settings. Then if the problem goes away, try increasing the Antialiasing and other settings one by one until the problem reocurrs, then you will know what it is. PS: Set screen effects to None, etc |

There seems to be a lot of people having issues with Fallout 3 at the moment.
EDIT: Marking old thread as Answered.
