Hi there
I have this problem: I have done all installing and patching flinaly, after allrdy registered one week ago. I've had so many problems with my old computer needing more ram to run the game. But it broke and now i'm sitting with this computer which i can buy from a friend for 1200 kr, in usd somthing like 250 i think. And its great cause i finnaly got to enter the game.
To my horror the game runs sloooow and i'm laggin like damn, and i get kicked out to deskop every 10 mins. Sucks.
Some of my comp specs:
Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 430 @ 1.80Ghz
1.00 GB RAM
WinFastPX6200 TC ( NVIDIA Geforce ) Video Memory: 253mb
Vertex Shader 3
I guess its not that great so i was wondering if some of you got any suggestions to what things can be upgradet for an afordable price. And which one who can make the big differents.
And should i buy this computer from my friend and just upgrade it or should i go out and buy something new, if yes what should i buy?
I would love any help. And sorry for my bad english.

As far as Warhammer goes it is a VERY ram intensive game, I recommend at least 2 gigs of ram to play, but there is hope yet, if you are running a nvidia card here is a walk-through on how to increase your performance, all thanks go to smarshmellow
1. Update your Drivers: Head to Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers Select your video card and operating system from the drop-down menus and click search. Check the box and click Download Now. (Here, I recommend uninstalling your old drivers by going to Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs->Nvidia Drivers->select NVIDIA Display Drivers only; if you feel unsure of doing this step, you may skip it.) Find the directory you downloaded the drivers to and run the installer. Go through the install process as usual (if a message pops up saying that your video card has not passed Logo testing, click Continue Anyway). Restart and enjoy! 2. Use nHancer The WAR settings panel does not give you many options to increase the level of detail or further reduce it. I stumbled across a nifty program called nHancer that safely "forces" settings (improving performance and/or quality) directly from the video card and applies them to games and programs that you can set manually. Go to nHancer - Advanced Control Panel for nVidia Cards Download, install, and run the program, and let it do it's initial search to figure out what you have installed. After the search, the nHancer window should appear with a list of games with predefined settings set by nVidia. If you have other games on your system, they are most likely going to be on this list, available for edit. Move on to the next step to learn how to add WAR (or any other game) to that list. 2a. Make Warhammer available for edit: Click on the left-most icon under the Profiles section and name it whatever you like. Select the item you just created; move down and click the topmost icon next to the box labeled Executables. Navigate to your WAR directory ("C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning" by default for the CD-installed version of the game), select WAR.exe and click Open. Now, any settings applied to the Warhammer profile will be activated whenever the WAR.exe is opened up. 2b. Increasing Performance(skip this step if you are looking to increase detail): Now that you've made WAR available for editing, it's time to try boosting your framerates in-game. Once you have selected the Warhammer profile you created in the last step, take a look at the right side of the window. Check Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic filtering and turn them both off. These two features smooth the "jaggies" you see on the edges of textures and increases sharpness, at the cost of performance. Vertical Sync limits your framerate to your monitor's refresh rate to help with a tearing issue that is seldom experienced, so it is an unnecessary drop in max FPS. Move on to the Optimizations tab. Check Texture filtering and set it to High Performance; Check Trilinear Optimization and Aniso. sample optimization, setting both of them to On. These three settings increase the performance of the game; they might introduce a "shimmering" effect, but I use these same settings and nothing noticeable has happened. 2c. Increasing Detail: I advise against this for many users, because Warhammer seems to be fairly taxing during encounters with many characters on screen and many things happening at once. But, if you happen to be one of the people with absolutely amazing hardware, here are some ways to further increase the detail of Warhammer. With the Warhammer profile selected, go to the Optimizations tab, check Texture filtering, and select High Quality. The rest of the options in this tab are disabled when High Quality is selected. Move back to the Enhancements tab. Check Anti-Aliasing (and "Enhance In-game AA Setting" under it) and Anisotropic Filtering. The rest is basically up to you. Start at lower levels of each, such as 2x AA and AF, and work your way up until you find a good level of quality while maintaining good performance. Each time you select an item on the list, a description will open up in the bottom-left of the window that you may read to get more understanding of each option and possibly some help in deciding what to increase. Note: The steps mentioned above can be applied to any modern game. Using these methods will not cause damage to your hardware, nor will they void your warranty. |

Hmm seems like it won't install nHancer because of this error: nHancer can not be installed on systems with .NET Framework version smaller than 2.0
Is this somthing which is just unable to me? or can i get a version of 2.0 or higher, just like that ? |
