I'm currently trying to install Steam on my work computer. Any time I try to pull up steampowered.com to download it, I always get a page error from IE7 that tells me that Internet Explorer cannot display the page, make sure that I'm typing the address right, etc. The same thing happens with the steamcommunity website.
The computers that we use are blocked from letting us download anything other than pictures, so what I ended up doing was emailing myself the file I needed to download Steam and changed it to a .jpeg, downloaded it and then changed it back to the .msi file. Everything worked fine and it downloaded, however when Steam tried to load to start the automatic updates that it needs to do before you can run it the first time, I got an error message saying "Steam.exe (main exception): Unable to load library Steam.dll".
If anyone has any ideas as to how to get around this, it would be much appriciated.
