Ok, I am trying to install Crysis Warhead. Problem is, when dialog box comes up, I click install, Then it blue screens, says, a thread tried to release a resource it did not own. If I try to explore the disc, it says to drag files to add? this happens with both drives. I am using 32 bit vista, intel qx6800 quad, 2 evga 8800 gtx, 4 gig mushkin 6400 extreme, x-fi extreme gamer fatality, 2 wd raptor in raid o, 500gb sata 11, lite on 20x dvdrw lh-20a1h, sony 16x dvd, thermaltake 1200w. It will install on my xp pc, also will install on my parents vista pc. I have had similar problems installing other games, such as Call of Duty 4 and Fear perseus Mandate. I just played them on my xp pc, but since Cyrsis Warhead is so system demanding it wont run on my xp pc. Also I have the origanal Crysis installed and run all specs on very high with no problems. Any help would be greatly appeciated.

This is the stop code from blue screen. 0x000000E3 (0XA8E6CFC8,0X8440C608,0XA8E2E7B8,0X00000003). I have also updated the firmware for my dvd drives and also took drive out of other pc and it doesnt work either, but it does while it is in the xp pc.

Ah a blue screen, I didn't notice you said that in your first post
Could you please follow the instructions at this link to post the blue screen up for analysis. http://www.pchelpforum.com/windows-x...eath-here.html |

Hey plastics, welcome to PCHF.
The logs are showing a file system issue either on the CD or the HDD Vista is running on. Need a bit more information first. The most important thing is that your using original CD's and not copies? When explore the disk, can you see all the files that should be on the CD, or is the CD blank? Can you post me a screenshot of this error you recieve (instructions can be found on my signature). |

Yes I am using an original cd. It says 0 of 7.16 gb free, when I explore it doesnt bring up any files. NOTE. when I put it in my XP pc I can pull up all files.
