Default Help with Key Button Activation

Hi

First of all, Ill just say Im new on this, so I hope Im not posting the thread on a wrong place..

Anyway, I have a problem. Every day after school, on the buss home, I and another friend is playing Mario Kart on my PC (laptop, windows vista). We use 2 player, and we need 1 button each for gas, 1 button each for direction to drive, and 1 button each to use an item we collect. If all this happens, we push 6 buttons total, but it seems like my PC can only use 5. This results to that our direction is not working, and we drive straight into the wall

Someone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I (and SPECIALLY my friend) will be really grateful

Hey there Maurits,

Welcome to PCHF. Well, as long as you aren't doing this at school...

Have you tried using a game controler as a mouse? That would leave one of you to use the keys, and one to use the controller?

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Glad to hear it, glad to hear it. LOL

Actually that's the point; if you are using a controller, you can hold it in your hands, it doesn't require a surface to work off of, so you don't need more space. (Believe me, I have been on a school bus, not in a REALLY LONG TIME, but I have been, ) I don't think they have changed them too much, check out the link I posted, see if it is something that might work for you.

Also, this is possible with other controllers as well, just do a Google search on it, and see if it will work for you.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Well, then I need 2x controllers + adapter.. Which is not easy to get in my country.. Unless you buy on internet - which Im not old enough to yet.
Besides, my school bag is also short on space.. Fits my laptop + a few books.. Specially on Wednesday and Friday morning, Im releasing many bad words to my small bag.

But there is also no windows option that allows us to push more buttons at once? Its really great to play with arrow keys and stuff.. No joy stick is really needed

Hey Maruits,

OK, I'm going to put this back on OPEN, and see if we can't get some of these gamers we have on site to give you some suggestions.
