need major sims 2 help

OK. I'm a new player of Sims 2 and have been using some helpful cheats but I can't get my pet cat to go to work. I've turned off free will and turned on the cheat that allows me to control her but no luck. Also my dog have stopped responding to commands I have taught him. His needs will not changed and I can't get him to do anything but stand outside my house and work. My child's needs are doing the same thing as well. They won't change either.

Any suggestions would be fabulous. Thanks!!

Welcome to PCHF. We have a great team of techs, here, and some of our community are very game literate, if I am not mistaken

What Sims 2 sites have you checked so far for help?

Is it possible that the game isn't loading or playing correctly? Have you tried a reinstallation?

It is much better to play games without using "cheats", then you will not have these problems.

It so much better for one's self esteem as well, you can tell your family and friends "I completed that game without cheating once..."

When did you first start to notice this?

Did you download any hacks or mods recently? Does it do this to this one particular family only?

I haven't used any hacks. I mainly used the cheat to gain some money and the one that allows me to help control my pets' needs like you do the people.

Okay, but when did this start happening? When did you first notice this? Does it do this ONLY with this one family?

Have you tried moving the family out of their current home and into a new one?

Yup not more to suggest really, seeing as it's cheats being used. You could try and get help at one of the many Sims 2 forums though

One of the main problems I have with the sims is trying not to use cheats

Please let us know if you solve this problem
