When I try to start up Flatout Ultimate Carnage I get the error above. What could be causing this? I have only one monitor enabled at the moment and it is at 1024x768. Thanks for the help.

When you say "at the moment" does that mean you have a dual monitor setup?

The only suggestions I've run across for that error is that it has to do with dual monitor setups and the second one needs to be disabled.

Yes I do have a dual monitor setup and the secondary one is disabled and unplugged. I don't know what else I could do.

The game apparently tries to detect the optimal resolution for your monitor. The 'native' resolution is the number of pixels your monitor actually has physically. For example, a monitor with a resolution of 1280x900 could still display 800x600 but this would not be the native resolution.

Does the game not start at all due to this error? Is there a way to get into the options menu for the game and set the resolution manually? Some games have a separate tool for this in the start menu.

I unplugged my second monitor and also my projector then restarted and it worked. It is strange I have to unplug everything when nothing was enabled. But o well it works. Thanks for the help any way.
