Ok, so, I've got a real quizibuc (and thank you if you get that reference). Ok, so, when I play pretty much any game other than World of Warcraft, it gets sped up to the point of unplayability. I've had this problem before, and I used CPUKiller, and it magically stopped for a brief period afterwords.

Two weeks later, it comes back. So I try CPUKiller, and it does nothing. All it does it make the game kind of "laggy" so to say, and it still acts like it's sped up. So, I don't know what to do, any advice? My specs are:

AMD Sempron 3400+
1 gig 667 DDR2 RAM
250 gig Seagate hard drive
GeForce 8400 GS video card
GeForce6100SM-M2 Motherboard

Try using only 1 core to play your games. Open Task Manager > Start your game > ALT+TAB out.

Under processes tab in task manager > right click your games .exe > select Set Affinity > Untick cpus except for cpu 0 > Click OK. Go back into game - hopefully it should run at normal speed.
