Im wondering if anyone can help.When i open alien arena( and medal of honnour:allied assault (pc)) everything loads up fine but some textures and all text are distorted and miscoloured. see below

Have you updated your video card drivers?

Must be a browser related situation, because with IE 7' I see it perfectly. It closely mimics a technicolor yawn.

I would remove the video card, run only with the onboard video, gives a lousey picture, but it IS a picture, if it does give a picture, your video card is shot. If not don't even think about it.

Cowburn199 i have updated my video card drivers.This problem is only effecting some games, not all of them

fisherman6 you talk about removing my viedo card.Do you mean physical removing it or just disabling it. Also im not sure if my motherboard has built in video

Well if it's only affecting SOME games. Scratch the video card idea

Question then is . . what do these 2 games, have in common that the others don't ?

Could be a problem with Direct X

Start>Run>dxdiag

Did you download anything or Install any program, since the last time these 2 worked OK ?

No Problems with direct x , but i have found a link between the two games that dont work. They both use opengl whereas the games that do work use direct3d.
As for new programs , alot of program have been added and removed since i last used them. They were last used about 2 years ago.

Question: Do you encounter this problem AFTER you upgraded you video drivers, which is to say did the problem exist prior to upgrading ? If no, or I don't know I haven't tried for 2 years. You could roll'em back and see if it helps
