Hi dudes and dudettes,

I am currently experianced trouble in trying to install several of my old games and encountering the same issue with all of them, namely the Setup.exe files all tend to bring up the ever so annoying error "Setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application".

I have tried using the compatibility mode, but that doesn't work. I know these used to work on my very old system, but don't now . I am using CD images so the state of the disk is not the issue.

What could be wrong and is there a solution?

For those curious the games in question are Theme Park World and Moto Racer.

VISTA compatability allows XP and, that's it

That's a little fact, they omitted to tell you, when you bought VISTA

That's not true. It allows compatability modes for:

• Server 2003
• XP
• 2000
• NT 4.0
• 98/ME
• 95

That doesn't qualify as 'Very Old' . . . that's ANCIENT

Windows 3.1 that's 'Very Old'

aye I have seen that before, but as the instructions say,

1. Uninstall any current installation of the game using Add/Remove Programs
2. Reboot
3. Delete any remaining game-related directories and files (save games, log files, etc.)
4. Install Theme Park World <- This is where the problem is
5. Apply the Theme Park World V2.0 patch (link available from the Downloads section) - Please read the FAQ <- This is where the 'fix' is
6. Reboot - you MUST reboot here!
7. Download the required fix file from the Downloads section
8. Continue by following the steps for the installation method chosen.

that's the problem I cant install the game to fix it.

you could try VMware and install an older OS as a virtual machine if you have one
