My PC seems to run absolutely fine but when I go to play CS it decides it wants to lag every couple of seconds. Its pretty consistent, too. I also have close to 100FPS and low ping. I have a Radeon x700 256mb vc w/ CCC installed. If you need to know anything, just ask.

Possibly hard drive - do a defragment, also could just be your internet connection

I don't think that its my internet. I'm getting nearly 300kb/s IN. I'll try a defrag. Hopefully it doesn't freeze this time and mess up all of my data.

What connection are you running on? Wireless or Wired?

Also can you describe the lag in more detail, e.g. complete stop, jittery etc.

I'm running a wired Linksys router. I'm gonna say every 5 seconds it does this. It kinda just freezes and messes me up. The mouse lags with the PC for about half a second. It also does it once a second every time I open CS. That part wears off within a couple minutes. I just ran a defrag on the disk and that didn't help. It may be that when my game is open the CPU is up to 100%. I don't have any unneeded programs running whatsoever. I don't understand why its doing this. I got rid of the spyware as well.

I'm beginning to think its my internet lag because my ping will shoot up every other second and then back down.
