hello there recently ive been reciving really high ping on games! the funniest thing about it is i just complained to sky and they raised my speeds to four meg at the moment 400 kbps but still im getting high ping on call of duty 4. a freind belives its because of vista slowing it down. anyone got any sugestions?

Hi,have you tried turning of modem for 1 min and then reboot it?

What is your ISP?

What speed should you be getting?What meg did you sign up for and are you dialup/BB/cable/etc?

At speeds like that mate you can expect High ping, i have 5000kb/s download and 400kb/sec upload and i get around 60 ping average :/

Hi dave I have 4 meg and I get just under that I usaly get about 3947 kbs.Although my upload is very low it is about 378kbs.
With that to ping a site using that speed it should be less than 50 ms.

Have you tried rebooting the modem if you are using one?
