Hi All,

I have noticed a decline in my FPS in games (like World of Warcraft) and was wondering if formatting my drive and reinstalling windows would help this problem?

hey BigR,

what is happening during your gameplay? are you running any other programs? what are you ingame settings at? reformatting is usually the last resort when fixing a machine. lets see if we can avoid this.

Also try updating video card drivers and a defrag

i just have noticed over the past months my fps dwindling.

nothing really hogging running in the background, msn, firefox, ventrillo sometimes.

when i got my harddrive (2-3 years ago) i thought it would be cool to make alot of partitions on it, now i am thinking that was a bad idea lol, could that be causing issues?

if needed i will run the pre work when i get home today.

what type of hardware do you have in your system?

p4 2.4 ghz
1.5gb ram
nVidia 6600 GT (Dont know the ram off hand)
160gb HDD
