is there a way in partition magic to merge partitions, my C drive (where the OS is) has maybe 1gb available. all applications are either on that drive or on a different partition.

I believe you can (on mobile so can't check for sure) but I highly advise agaisnt merging a partition with your OS on it, you can merge the other partitions though, and then copy stuff from the OS partition to them.
