Default Direct X issues

I had a problem before where even though I obviously had dx9.0c installed no game would see it. Then I changed from official ati to omega drivers and everything worked fine.
Yesterday I was playing all the games fine. Then I installed adobe photoshop and Nero 8.2 and since then no games work anymore. They can't detect my directx.
I think I'm gonna reformat the drive, its giving me more trouble than I can stand...

Reinstalling dx doesn't help

Well if things are so bad and seemingly always got issues a fresh install is for the best.

Yeah only I won't reinstall this version of xp...I'll look around the web for a different version which won't have problems and "buy" it.
Grrr this formatting business is annoying

By the way whats the correct order to install? dx and then graphics drivers or the other way around?

Ok I would install all programms/PCI cards etc and then there software.
However wich way is right?Dx?well it should not make a diffrence because its being update all the time. Some software will install but b4 its fully installed will prompt to download DX before its install is complete.
Chatroom is open you know lol?Quicker than here.
