Smile [Resolved]Help reinstalling KOTOR, error message

I want to reinstall Knights of the Old Republic, for various reasons, but first I had to uninstall it. No big deal, right? So I click uninstall, and an InstallSheild Wizard boot up window pops up, but once it's done "booting up" I get this message:

"ERROR! Uninstall encountered an error and cannot proceed. Please contact technical support. "

I thought it was no biggie, I heard from another help site that this could be fixed by manually uninstalling the game, and once you reinstall the game that problem would be fixed. So I go through my hard drive, delete the KOTOR folder, I even deleted the BioWare folder in the registry. So I pop in the disk and it comes up asking if I want to install KOTOR. So far so good. Then I hit the install button, the same InstallShield Wizard window pops up, and then I get the same error message. I tried fixing Unistalling problems in my registry with RegCure, then I downloaded Dial-a-fix because it's supposed to be able to help with InstallShield problems. Nothing has worked and now I can't even install KOTOR. What should I do?

To uninstall some thing on a computer you do not delete the folder you use and remove under control panal.
Try removing from there if an error comes up I sugest a system restore to b4 you deleted the folder then try again under add and remove to uninstall the game.

Actually, I forgot about control panel. I went into add/remove programs and it turns out KOTOR was still listed, despite me having removed all traces of it from the computer. When I clicked uninstall, it actually worked. When I tried it with KOTOR on my computer it just gave me the error message as always. This time, while it did "uninstall" the game, it did something weird. It acted like my desktop was the installation folder and deleted stuff from there instead. It did delete some data, but it can be replaced, so no biggie. When I popped in the disk, it actually worked this time. So now is KOTOR time for me!
