Default Games Carashing Pc

hi i recently built my pc and everything works perfectly, there is one problems thought, everytime i try to play a game (e.g. fable) even older games (black and white or empire earth) my pc crashes. Witht the older games it tends to crash aboput a minute into the game, whereas with the newer games it doesn't even start the game up before crashing. Can someone help?

Hi there

Are you getting the "Blue Screen of Death" - or is your PC re-booting?

Hi Is the result the same in all games it just freeze's? Sounds like a memory issue has the PC got 2 sticks of memory? Try removing one stick and see if the games still freeze if they still do put the stick you removed back in and remove the other one and try again.

I had the same issue my friend most of the time anyway. Turns out it was my graphics card, my friend sold me a new one, problem solved. But if you dont have much money, try the buy/sell forums here at pchf. Sorry i cant link the thread im writing this on the ps3 without a keyboard.
