Default Windows refuses to admit I've deleted a game/the game refuses to admit it is deleted

Basically, ages ago I deleted the files for a game, but didnt uninstall it - I now realise this was rather foolish (I can't think why i did it at the time). Although there are no files on the computer, windows and the game still think it is installed. Because of this I can't uninstall it from "remove programs" because, there is no uninstaller. It also says something about a patch not being available, but I don't know what that is about.

Does anyone know a way of stopping the game/windows thinking it is still on there so I can re-install it?

Thanks,
Nick Potter

Hi welcome to PCHF have you tried to reinstall the game then reboot the PC and uninstall it in add/remove programs? What game is it?
