Default Low Fps in Wow

As the title says i'm experiencing low fps in wow and when i say low i mean anywhere from 3 to 12 fps. About a month ago i was experiencing low fps and then i added -opengl to the launch program and i automatically saw better results, fps were in the 30-40 area. So now i'm back to the low fps. Sorry for dragging on. My graphic card is a Nvidia geforce 6200 agp 256mb. Any ideas or suggestions on how i can go about fixing this?

usually when i experience low FPS in wow (around 29 to 30 fps) it has to do with another programs smashing up my free memory. are you running full screen or window mode? what are your settings in the game? one way i fixed it is changing the game resolution while i was in game. down to 800X600 then moving it back to the right size. try that.

When i tried wow for 10 days, i had a 6200 also, 256 agp and my fps hung around 50s 60s

At 1024x768 with max settings, and your getting sub 20s with low settings you say?

I see you have a 1.7ghz p4, i think that may be your cause, as you have 1gb ram which is fine, and the graphics card is fine.

I think its down to your processor.

Also how much space is free on your main harddrive
