Hey AW_3_3, I purchased the VisionTek 900203 Radeon HD 3850 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card.

I'm a bit unsure as to the additional power supply requirement. Do I need to purchase additional power to be able to install and use this card? I figured I'd ask before I start the installation process.

Thanks!

Depends. What system are you running this in, and how powerful is your current power supply? Oh, are you going to be building that new system?

Why on earth are so many people upgrading for one bloody game :O its crazy, i see people everywhere on youtube, these forums and other places talking about how should they go about upgrading to play crysis, which imo is no where near as good as hl2+eps.

Slight rant out the way, hmm i would go for around 2gb ram, a dual core 2.8ghz+ and i would WAIT until nvidia 9 series hits the shops, should be this month.

And a decent psu would be very helpfull.

I disagree. There is no need to wait for the Geforce 9 series, when the Radeon HD 38xx series is more than powerful enough to run crysis.

i only spent like 950 on my computer and mine plays crysis on high. It will sometimes bog down but only for a second. It plays medium much better.

core 2 duo oc to 2.8, 4 gigs ram, sata drive, 8800gts

Read this article.... should give you an idea of what you will need. lmao
