i downloaded law and order: a vengeful heart. when i click to play it:

"error: access violation at 0x005BAB02 (tried to read from 0x00000010), program terminated"

this appears and closes the game straight down. i have already had the 1st L&O game and it played perfectly, it was from the same site aswell.
does anyone know how i can rectify this problem? i have windows vista.

As this relates directly to an issue with this one game, why not drop the game developer an email. You could aslo email BigFish and let them know that they have a potentially corrupted download, they may send it to you on disc...you're not alone...

I downloaded the game from Bigfish, I have windows vista, and I get the same error message a danni did. I am trying to contact the company so that I can either get the game to work, but I cannot even find a way to directly contact them. I am new to downloading games and PC's in general, so any other suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance.
