Default Graphics "stop" when playing Caesar IV

Hi,

When I am playing Caesar IV (on medium-low graphics setting with a 125 MB ATI Radeon X300/X500 and a Pentium D processor.

My game crashes maybe after few minutes, maybe after an hour. When it crashed, it used to freeze up the entire computer. When I rebooted it suggested downloading the latest display driver. Which i did. Now, when it crashes, I can go to the desktop and ATI will ask me to send an error report.

This has never ever happened to any other games because of my graphics card, even with newer ones released in 2007. Whereas Caesar IV was released in 2006 requiring A Pentium 4 and I think it needs a 64 MB graphics card.

Hi
Look in the games video settings for the option to turn off shadows. Try that and see if it now works.

I have everything set to minimum, including the shadows.

Please go to this website System Requirements Lab
Select Caesar IV from the list and it will tell you if you can play it based on your specs.

I have passed the test. CPU and Ram are great, and my graphics card meets the minimum.

I have allready examined the minimum system requirements, and I exceed them. My video card was my prime concern, and the minimum is 64 MB and i have 125 MB. But I have passed all of the sub-tests aswell with the graphics card.

However, it has failed to meet the reccomended ammount of memory, but I have it running on the minimum grpahis setting, so that should not be the issue.

One thing that i notice, is that when the game "crashes", I can sometimes still go back to the game, but the picture will be distorted. Like one edge of the screen is poking out on the other side, and it warps in some areas.

Untill I close theg ame or reset my desktop resolution, the desktop will be warped aswell.
