And have you continued on with it and let it attempt to uninstall, then try again?

You can try downloading CCleaner CCleaner - Home
Install that, and then run the registry scan. Click Fix selected issues and click Yes make a backup.

now after running reg cleaner in winxp manager something happened when unsinstalling. before it just started and finished. now it took a little longer time and i got error 1316: a network error ocurred while attempting to read from the file D:\windows\installer\cod4mw.msi

a progress?
