Hello,
I have recently purhcased Hellgate London. Whenever I get into a bigger battle the game begins to be hard to control until the action has stopped then it runs smoothly. Im wondering why its lagging on the screen. I have the settings even turned down. They arent even on high.
My System Specs
Windows XP
Intel Pentium (R) D 2.80 GHZ
2.00 GB of DDR2 RAM
NVIDA GeForce 7950 512mb PCI Express card.
I have like 300GB of free Hard Drive space as well.
Hellgate London System Requirements.
Operating Systems: Windows XP with SP2 or Windows Vista
Processor: 1 .8GHz or faster (2.4GHz for Vista)
RAM: 1GB or more (2GB for Vista)
Video Card: DirectX 9.0c/10 compatible device w/ 128MB RAM or better and Pixel Shader 2.0 - NVIDIA GeForce 6200/ATI Radeon 9000 chipset or greater
Audio: DirectX 9.0c compatible device
Hard drive: 6 GB or more
Any thoughts on why it isnt running any better than it is would be appreciated.

Thats the only new game ive played in a long while on this PC. The only other one is Warcraft 3 and no I have no problems with that. But no where near as intense for graphics.

So, in that case, an update of your graphics drivers would be the best first step.
Go here and download, then install these drivers: ForceWare Release 163

Ok I did that. It helped a tiny little bit. It still runs pretty choppy in combat.

Hi Plyersway, welcome to the PCHF.
It might be worthwhile running a few other scans...such as defrag and disk checker. To defrag, goto Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmentor Will take anywhere between 2 minutes and over 4 hours - depending on how bad it is.
