Hi all need some help please!
Right Had my PC now for about 3-4 months been running fine no problems at all, Installed a gforce 7300 se 256mb graphics card and started playing BF2. Worked fine for a couple of weeks until the hype wore off and i stopeed playing for a bit .
Now i have gone back to playing and the game will just crash , back to normall desktop. There is no warning and no problems once it has crashed it just disappears , has also done it on flight sim 2004 whilst playing.
I have 1gb of RAM just bought 2GB will come tomorrow.
Will this solve the crashing issue, or is it something im missing?

this is a very common problem with BF2, there's many different ways people solve it, I've had it myself.


Can I ask is it just doing it in Multiplayer or both?

Its doing it on both , just tryed again , did it as i was logging in to single player

Ok time to start with some easy things first .

Have you got the latest drivers for your Graphics card? If not try downloading the latest ones.

Have you tried reinstalling the game?


Have you shut down all programs you dont need before running BF2?


I've had this problem myself with BF2 just trying to remember how I solved it

i have the latest drivers and close all programs and stop some pointlless process's (PC alert etc).
will try uninstalling and re-installing now.

No problem , tell me how re-installing it goes, I'll have a search around see what I can find, looks like it can be a lot of things which could fix it

Just re-installed it , Im going to play for about 30 mins see if anything goes wrong.
