seems to me to be the only cause... i just updated windows sp2 bout 3 hours ago.. turned the game on that i was playing prior to the update and the graphics have changed ... theyve been made worse.

my comp is nothing flash : probably a bit ancient due for recycle ; ) dont know if this helps

What game were you trying to play after the update?

Hi there Oldguy, very sorry for the delay.
One area to check would be in the actual game itself. Look in the options somewhere for video settings.
Make sure the resolution is correct, and that the options in the game are the same before the update (Texture settings etc).
