Wasn't sure if this fits in with gaming or hardware...

I have recently finished building my pc and all has gone smooth until now, i have an ATI Radeon X1300 512mb graphics card and its not letting me play games...

I installed Mircsoft Flight Simulator X and when i want to play, it will load up the main screen but when i click "fly now" it loads up and gives me a blank screen.

I was having the problem that the screen would freeze often (as if i were overloading the graphics) but it was happening just generally. This problem has gone away since I downloaded the latest driver update for this graphics card.

There's nothing wrong with the game or it's installation because i can play it whilst running on my motherboard graphics. (just not excelent quality obv.)

Also I tried a different game, Battlefeild 2. In this case the game just doesn't load up at all.

Can anybody please think of anything? I'm getting cheesed off with it now xD

i had an x1300 and fsx did not run well, maybe it will if youve got a beastly processor. Sorry about that but anyway i dont think it will be something wrong with the gpu but then again i aint an expert.

You can try a different driver maybe? I use the omega drivers (OmegaDrivers.net - Home of the Omega Drivers for ATI & NVIDIA desktop/laptop cards. By: Omegadrive). It's meant to boost gaming performance, but also fixes a few problems with the standard ATI Radeon driver.

Have you tried the driver which is on the CD that came with the card?
What are your computer specifications?

Yea ive tried the supplied driver CD, and many times over.

I've got an intel 'essential series' mother board (D945GCcr)
with an intel core 2 duo proccessor
running 1gb RAM
Windows xp

Hmmm, seems to me like a hardware problem, but i'm not sure. It can also be a software prob.
Anyawy, have you tried the Omega Drivers that Curb has mentioned above my post?

Yes I've tried the omega drivers, made no differences.

Could it be a motherboard problem? I've recently been running on my MB graphics and it now freezes from time to time still.
