1)What are the top 3 mods that are fully complete or not beta and are FREE

2) How do i install and play mods, if half life 2 is activated by steam?

Hey there thedudesam,

it's really easy to install a HL2 Mod

.

Just copy and paste the folder into

C:\Program files\steam\steamapps\sourcemods\

I'm assuming your drive is C:/, if not just replace it with whatever letter your drive is.

You will then find the mod in the "My Games", section of Steam.

About what mods are good, it depends really, do you want to play the mods online or offline? What sort of games are you into?

If you're looking for a multiplayer mod, Hidden Source is amazing! The Hidden - Source
I used to play it with my clan a lot, and although it says beta it really doesn't seem like one! I don't recall finding any bugs

I'd recommend Insurgency Mod. It's free, amazing, and increasing in popularity. It's a lot like America's Army, but with an HL2 edge. The stable release is on their website (INSURGENCY: Modern Infantry Combat). Another one to look forward to is CS Pro Mod. It's like CS:Source graphics with CS 1.6 game play. It's not yet released to the public though.
