Hi D
Can I just ask what games you are planning to play on the computer? Because the FX 5200 is a VERY low end graphics card.

not really plannin to play high end games... i play avp 2 and wolfenstein et, and just recently got lego star wars 2! all of em play fine on my gf`s pc (the P4 3ghx 512ram pc) and ive been offered a GeForce FX 5200 for £15 to put in my pc ( the 1.8ghz sempron 1gb ram pc) my gf said we could swap pcs cos she doesnt play games and i was wondering whats the best thing to do, upgrade my graphics or just swap with her....

Ah Wolfenstein ET The good days lol .

Well as seen as you won't be playing any games which require a lot of power, i'd say just swap with her.

if it were me who were buying,i would take the p4 cause i never trust amd.intel has the best hardware,so i would stick with them, besides the ram can be easily upgraded.so take the p4.ps, intel is the leader in processor and hardware making, and amd sucks.thx

Oh no you did'nt.AMD And Intel are both good companies for processors.I prefer Amd mainly because of their price to speed ration. They have better clock than intel for less. But they have less L2 Cache.Amd is Making the Phenom a true quadcore.Unlike intel Amd waited and prefected their quadcores. Not a 2 core 2 on 1 die.Intel on the otherhand has better Processor Cache amounts.Except 2 AMD processors amd has 512k.

AMD FANATIC
Ps:Just cause you dont like AMD doesnt mean you have to say it.
