Unhappy IP error ... <age of empires 2>

Hi, I have a pretty old dell desktop that I have made better over time. The computer usually runs fine till I try to play Age Of Empires 2 via lan against my friend. We nerver used to have a problem doing this but now it shuts down my computer after about 7 minutes of gameplay. When it restarts and I log back on I get the 'Windows has recovered from a seroius error' message, here is the technichal stats of the error:

Any Help would be really appreciated, thanks Elliot.

Hi Elliot81. welcome to PCHF.

Are you able to attach the file listed in your Error Reports Contents (mini091207-03.dmp) for analysis. Any a couple of others if you can?

You can also follow BDOD's on my signature if you require detailed instructions, however the 9c BSOD's in a hardware issue.

Hi elliot,

Sorry for the delay, please can you go to My Computer > Control Panel > System > Hardware tab, followed by Device Manager. In Device Manager, click on View, and click on Resources by type. In the view below, under "Interrupt request (IRQ)", please can you tell me what is listed under IRQ 18.

What ever it is seems to have it's own memory or cache, but whatever hardware is listed here is the cause to your problems.

How odd! It's possible that the wrong IRQ was being called here, and the only thing I can see in that list that would use memory in that list is your graphics card. Since something like Age of the Empires 2 is the only thing that would utilize all of that memory, it would seem that this is the most likely culprit. Do you have the latest drivers for your ATI card (Advanced Micro Devices Inc.)? And also, how often does this BSOD occur? Do you have any more of these dump files I can compare with?
