Team Fortress back when HL1 first released was worse!
The original TF...before HL1....QuakeWorld...that was fun. Not many people cheated - because everyone who played the games had to be good enough to know how to optimise dialup connections....man I'm looking forward to TF2
Never bothered playing TFC.

Yeah TF2 looks amazing.
And I recall TF having quite a few cheaters, unless it was just my terrible connection! :| Ha

...I used to go to laggier servers...so it was harder for me

These were the days of 33.6k dialup modems being the norm...and pings of 200 were considered AWESOME...300 - 400 normal
