Just gone out and bought this game and the screen is constantly flashing ! Is this someting to do woth the resolution ? Its looks a cool game and i really want to play it , just bought supreme commander and that sems fine .

Got the latest drivers? What are your settings? Got the screen refresh rate right? Anything in the background? (if you run winamp, close it, and try again, I have some games which start flashing with winamp, it's really odd)

Errr you lost me there , as you can tell i know nothing about pc's ! Rome seems to work , i also bought civilisation IV and when i try and load that it states compatilbity problems and for me to contact the games writer or something ! Will it be the fact that i have Vista and maybe Mr Meiers games have not been updated for this ? I have looked for patches (whatever they are) but none have mentioned Vista or anything like that !

Ooh ok, that helps a bit. Alright, right click the shortcut and selcet properties, go to the compatibility tab, and select run this in compatiblity with Windows Server 2000 and try then. If it still does it, try with compatibility of Windows XP

Sweet mate i will try that when i get home from work , now for the stupid question , when i do this is it only for the game i am loading ? Or will i have to reset it every time afterwards ? I mean to say is this permanent or will it only do this for the game i am trying to load ?
