Default The Sims 2 crashing

While I'm playing The Sims 2 it will just freeze. I've tried closing all background programs and opened it windowed view. I more than meet the system requirements and I put all of the game options on low detail. I think it might be that my hard drive is partitioned but I'm not sure. I have the expasion packs Open for Bussiness, Night Life, and Family Fun Stuff.

From what i can see on EA's support website, your graphics card does meet the requirements to play the game, however, does the game just freeze? I found this article which may help. Answer
