Default [Answered] Please, someone help!

I am trying to improve my Toshiba Satellite laptop's graphics performance for better results in new games such as the new Tomb Raider Anniversary. The game demo worked just fine, but when there are large locations with many objects and big environments (example: water falls etc.), the graphics aren't as smooth and fluid and it starts to "slow down"...

How to fix this?
1) Is upgrading my 512MB RAM to 1GB RAM going to help it?
2) Or is it a problem with my graphics card? (Toshiba Intel Chipset Family)

If you need more information about my computer specifications or the minimum requirements for Tomb Raider Anniversary please say so.
I joined this forum to find help that I desperately need... Thanks for everything!

Recommended Specification
OPERATING SYSTEM: Microsoft Windows XP, Vista CPU: Pentium 4 3.0Ghz or Athlon 64 3000+ RAM: 1GB RAM
GRAPHICS: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible 64 MB 3D Accelerated Card with Pixel Shader 2.0 (GeForce 6000 series / Radeon X series) SOUND: Microsoft Windows XP/Vista compatible sound card (100% DirectX 9.0c -compatible)
DVD-ROM: Quad-speed (4x) DVD-ROM drive
HARD DRIVE: 3GB free disk space
INPUT DEVICES: 100% Windows XP/Vista compatible mouse and keyboard
Your PC Spec shows your CPU as 1.6..is that correct? If it is then you are dangerously close to the absolute minimum spec for this game. Do you have the graphics turned right down? To be honest, if you have a 1.6Ghz CPU then I'm afraid you're going to experience slow downs in graphics heavy games. Additionally, if you have any spending power, then an upgrade of Motherboard/CPU and RAM would be a good idea before the graphics card (if you have 512mb onboard already).

I agree with Hengis, 1.6 is low in todays games, also alot of games now want 1gb of ram, and 2gb of ram to play the game very smoothly.

Yes, I do have a 1.6Ghz processor. All the games I want work fine but like I said, the quality lowers when there are big places and stuff like that...
So, should I upgrade my RAM from 512MB to 1GB? Thanks
And as for my graphics card, it has 128MB of maximum memory.

I'd like to add that I'm not a big game fanatic... I just love the Tomb Raider series and it happens that the latest of these games is great! So I wanna play with the best graphics performance my computer can handle

Upgrading your RAM is never a bad thing. If you are on a tight budget then the RAM upgrade will give you the best increase in performance (per $ spent). With a 128mb vga card I still think you may struggle in those graphics heavy environments though.

It's too bad... Well, I think I'm gonna upgrade my RAM then... Thanks so much for your help... And, just another question though:
I am playing the demo now with a 1280x800 pixels... if I lower the gameplay resolution to, let's say, 800x600, does the problem persist?
