Just the usuall mate explorer.exe, zonealarm, avast and usuall windows processes no other programms, i mean i was playing oblivion right before i wanted to start playing Battlefield 2, and Oblivion was running fine.

Shall i just forget battlefield 2?

You need a very good vid card to run bf 2

I cant stand a game that once you buy it you need a new computer to run it

bf2 is very taxing on any system set evrything to low that may work

Never mind i bought battlefield 2142, its much better and it works, with all the settings on high, even though i only have 1gig ram and it says 1.5gig, but im running it perfectly.
