Petty, I realize, but it's the game I use to calm my chaotic day...and all of a sudden it no longer works correctly. It will allow me to open the app, select the difficulty (medium) and you can hear it dealing the cards, but no other visual on the screen. So I tried to re-install it by selecting the Windows Components and after that is completed there still is no change.

A. What happened to cause this problem so that I don't do it again; and
B. How do I fix this?

There's nothing too small to be queried about

First thing i would suggest you try is put your windows cd in the drive and goto Start -> Run -> and type in sfc /scannow

Once finished, restart and try again. If this doesn't work - follow the Prework link in my signiture, and post the resulting logs

I tried the scan and rebooted - still unresolved. I then viewed you Prework link and noted that this process will help cleanse a virus. What leads you to believe that I have a virus? (My antivirus sw indicates that I'm clean.) Can't I just uninstall and then load a fresh copy of the app?
