It's a separate card? If so I would consider it. I thought it was onboard video. No funny noises from that drive, right? If you bought that card yourself-- it may even be warranteed, too. I have not dealt with NVidia in a while-- can't remember --how long their warranty is

What is the model-number of this PC? Should be on a tag on the back of the case-- so I can look @ HP-- and read in the manual some.

I doubt very much it would be the drive-- most likely the video card-- that's why I asked... If it is built in to the mobo-- I'd be screamin at HP-Support... you sent my PC back-- and it's still not right.

A warranteed PC is no good if it does not run right... because if the video adapter is part of the motherboard-- you have to replace the whole board. Another solution would be to replace the onboard video-adapter with an after-market video-card.

First-- I would retry the driver update-- if you havent already ... just to be certain-- it is possible that a tech at HP would use whatever drivers are readily available there.
