Question deleting installers and setup

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum so i apologise in advance for asking stupid questions or ones that have already been covered.

I would like to know can you delete installers and setups after you have installed and setup the program and it is running or will this cause a problem.
I am trying to clean up some more room and am running out of ideas.

Thank you for you help with this

It shouldn't cause any problems just deleting the setup file.

I
am trying to clean up some more room and am running out of ideas
You mean on your Desktop?
the way I do it (after you've deleted all the ones you want to get rid of now) is
right-click an open area on the desktop
select 'new'
select 'folder'
when "new folder" appears on desktop...
right-click the folder
select rename
name it 'downloads'
hit enter.
Now when you download anything-- it will ask you where you want the file-- just double-click on the downloads folder and click save.If you wish you can even change the name of the file to something you will easily remember-- files often have qrzxb.exe (example) for a name-- you forget what it is/delete it by accident. Renaming it to what app it is for... does not affect the setup file-- just what you see.
When you need to find that file-- double click the folder- it opens--and there you are.
Of course you still need to clean house every so often-- but you won't have a clutter problem. I keep a few shortcuts on my desktop and about 3 folders with stuff in them-- you can have quite a bit in a folder,too... so you can't let that get out of hand.

Try CCleaner it'll get rid of a lot of the useless cache files that have acumalated etc, I ran it on a virtually clean install and cleared nearly 80mb.

If you're page file is currently more than you use, decrease it (if you don't knowm just leave it alone)

Would installing a second drive be a problem?
There are some incredible deals these days.

How big is your current drive?
