I tried that before I think, but its not just this one game, its every CD/DVD game, even a few older ones.

I personally think they may be different issues altogether.

I fixed it, one of my suspicions was right, it turns out I had messed with graphcis cards settings that the game didnt allow.so I just changed them. Still doesnt explain SC3000 unless its just not compatible with vista?
