I have installed Betrayal in Antara which is a 1975 windows game. I have WinXP media Edition on AN eMachines T6544 desk top. It has a amd athalon 64 3700+ processor-2 gig ram a eGeForce 6800GS video card with 256Meg DDR3 ram. My comp has a dvd/CD w-rw and a HP DVD w\LightScribe. When I trv to start the game it errors and says "cannot find 999.pal resource please make sure cd rom drivers are loaded properly". Can I make this work on this system, it worked on my other comp w\WinXP.

The game should be working - try right clicking on the shortcut and select Properties -> Comptability. Change it to Windows 95 and see if that helps.


PS. I hate to break it to you, but Betrayal in Antara is not a 1975 game. Infact, it is a 1996 game. It is the "sequal" to Betrayal at Krondor, but not related to the story line at all (an attempt by Sierra to cash in on the first's success).
