Default Encountering a problem

Okay, all Windows users have encountered problems like this, so I think that someone here can help. I installed Battle For Middle Earth 2, and it runs perfectly. I meet all the requirments, so it runs smoothly. But, when it actually comes to the part where you can actually play the game, I get the 'program has encourted a problem and needs to close' message. Can anyone help me? I would give a screenshot of the tech details, but I don't know how to take and post one. That would be helpful too.

Hi BTW

Welcome to PCHF!

You can take a screenshot by pressing the Prtscreen key then going into paint and edit > paste then save it and upload to ImageShack® - Hosting and provide us with a link here.

It seems to be a problem with that game and certain DVD drives..try this fix;
Go into Device Manager open the IDE ATA/ATAPI controller tab, right click on Primary or Secondary(wichever your DVD drive is on), open Properties, click on the Advanced Settings tab and change the transfer mode from "DMA if available" to "PIO only"

Tried that, and now it doesnt work full stop. Comes up with 'Please insert dosk, click OK and try again. But the disk is in.

Thank you very much.
-----EDIT-----
Okay just a quick restart and the disk reading error's sorted, but still, switching to Pio didn't help.
